Tiny puppy pulled from monsoon rains after dog lover spotted it shivering on street struggling to survive, becomes foster fail statistic as new pawrent promptly falls in love: ‘I really fell in love with this little angel I guess we rescued each other.’

Much to our dismay there is no shortage of dumped and abandoned dog stories that come out of India. Though that comes with a caveat as doggos are treated differently there, and many live in the streets as sort of communal pets. But sometimes a poor pup simply cannot hack it out there in the harsh and cruel world that we live in. and thankfully when that moment came for this puppy a wonderful woman happened to be walking by and ready to help. Little did she know it would end up with her owning a dog!

We often see stories on r/indiedogs and wonder to ourselves what it must be like to be an Indian dog. Unlike our western doggos, the puppers in India are often left to live in the streets, where the community feeds and cares for them. They are generally less interested in taking them as personal pets. Which still means the doggos are cared for, just that someone has to step up and take responsibility for them once in a while. Which is exactly what our heroine did when she saw a poor puppy who looked like it could not handle even another half hour of the monsoon rains it was being subjected to.

Taking pity on the pup she brought him into her home and that was the beginning of the end of this woman's life as a dogless pawson. Not that she knew it at this point…they never do. But soon the reality dawned on her and filled her heart until it was overflowing.

Goodness that sounds like a pup who has been holding out on nothing but hope for a long long time and who has finally found a place that is safe enough to rest. He must have been utterly shattered by his hard time on the streets. A small and young doggo like this is likely not able to retain their body heat all too well, leaving them extra vulnerable to the cold and wet. Which was exactly what this poor pup was facing. It is truly lucky that this hooman happened to pass by and had the heart to help.

Heeh, if only we could reach out to the hooman in the past and tell them what is coming their way. Sure they might deny it, they might even outright tell you that you are wrong. But that is just part and parcel of the foster fail adventure. Some fought it harder than others and this one gave a little bit of a battle, but soon enough came to understand that it was not simply a dog that she had rescued from the wet and cold. It was her dog that she had given new hope to.
